How to choose your voice

Boundaries are the rules and guidelines of what is and isn't acceptable in our lives, and in our relationships with others.

Where do you need better rules or guidelines in your                  relationships? You teach people how to treat you.

The number one way to improve every relationship you have, don’t assign responsibility to other people for how you feel.

According to Stoic philosophy, everywhere at each moment you have three options                          

                                   to accept this event with humility 

                                 This is your Will

 

                to treat this person as he or she should be treated

(Especially if this person is you)

These are your Actions 

                    to approach this thought with care 

                   so that nothing irrational creeps in

These are your Perceptions-

 

The only people who get upset when you set boundaries are the ones who benefited from you not having any.

The people who are meant to be in your life will understand that when you set boundaries, it's to keep them in your life, not kick them out.
